Dear CCP,
I am sure you have already experienced the power of a community banding together to achieve a common goal. This time we have successfully collected for each one of us, hundreds if not thousands of likes, in a timeframe of less than 24 hours. This have proven several points we have already made before, but were fallen into deaf ears.
1. It is gamable.
2. It is gamable in stealth. (That was not the only thread that was farming likes.)
3. It is utterly pointless to have a "likes receieved" underneath your avatar.
This issue have earned itself a place in the forums, and nobody is not involved. This thread has one and only one message. Please, get rid of "likes received" under our pictures, because of the very well illustrated reasons above.

TLDR: Get rid of "likes received"!
PS Like this post if you like the idea. Likes for individual posts are still useful.

Just sayin'. It is enough for unpopular points of view or opinions to get 'targeted' by large groups, ie nerf moon mining and the haters come along to dislike those supporting that point of view. *IF* dislike carries any weight besides a count it gets much more worse from there. As it stands all not getting likes does is show you probably haven't posted anything OR only troll but it doesn't guarantee either of those being true. Just as a large like count only shows you probably post alot, are getting likes for nothing, or have been on the forums for a long time, none of which are guaranteed to be correct.
Not that I think of it you are right. The whole like thing should be gone. |
